Getting prepped for doing the first full service on the wifes i30 FD 1.6, normally on the Toyotas i have had i would clean the MAF sensor as part of the routine but haven't seen one on this car. Is there one? If so where is it and how do i get to it?

on the plastic air intake pipe
Isn't that just a breather, the MAP sensor is on the manifold near the throttle body.
-
Yeah there isnt anything on the intake pipe which is why i am asking.
Are these MAP not MAF? That would explain it.
-
So can anyone confirm if they are MAP not MAF please?
-
So you guys don't try to help the noobs much?

Posts are gone now but long story short; old mate asked a question, didn't get a response from the unpaid technical advisors within the hour or anyone else for that matter, abused the forum and then deleted his account. Try putting your VIN into partsouq.com and start going through the engine and electrical diagrams - best I can do sorry

We like to help everybody. But as it has been said, this is our hobby and sometimes there are other things in life to do.
I'm not familiar with with petrol FDs. At the moment I do not have access to 2011 petrol models. But 2008 1,6 litre petrol has MAPS (manifold absolute pressure sensor).

All good, I'm probably used to forums with larger groups on, some can be a bit funny with the new kid on the block, can think of another Hyundai forum i tried recently like that . Anyway it looks like there's a bunch of you who have been here a while, lots of knowledgeable guys so hoping to be able to tap into that as needed. :D
Thanks @sundiz , 2008 and 2011 have the same drive train as far as i know so that explains it. I will check out that website @josh1990 mentioned later on when i get some time. Cheers :goodjob:
