GOT PROBLEMS OR ISSUES? => GENERAL => Topic started by: Paolo5 on July 07, 2010, 08:47:38

On the last 2 tankfuls of diesel, the trip meter on my car has reset itself on or around the time that the fuel light first comes on.
When it happened on the first tankful I assumed that I had accidentally re-set the tripmeter by pressing the button for too long. But it happened again today and I know that I didn't have anything to do with the re-set.
Has anyone else noticed this in their i30?

Doesn't sound like the right behaviour to me
Once it's reset does it start counting up normally and accurately again?

Hi Shambles,
Yes it does register normally after it resets itself. It makes it a bit of a pain to work out the number of km travelled on the tank. I will have to write down the odometer km that I fill the tank (or look at the Scangauge reading).
I just wondered if they all do this?

mine does not reset itself

Haven't seen that happen during my 66,000kms in 27 months...

its not reseting itself at 999kms is it.

yep...that would be it! Now why didn't I think of that? Curse these i30 diesels for being so darn economical and presenting me with such problems ....
I love this car!
