Title: Car horn has come on randomly FD 2008 i30

Hello all, has anyone had an issue with the horn activating at random?

My 2008 Diesel i30 had a random activation last night, parked in a garage out of the weather.

Had to remove the battery terminal to stop it.
Any thoughts?

Was it a long, continuous sounding? If so, that is weird.

Yes, a long continuous sounding. I am thinking a short circuit of a relay or similar has caused it.

Seems to be a rather unusual thing to happen. I will probably pull a fuse out until I can hunt down the issue.

I'd check the horn switch in the steering wheel, connector, loom, clock spring.
