Title: Fans continue when OFF!
Post by: bumpkin on July 21, 2010, 17:58:53
once the climate control has been switched off, the fans still seem to be blowing at the level i switched them off at.

... does anyone else  have the above with the climate control

This is starting to look like a discussion so have created a new topic to prevent the original going off......

The fans will still blow if they are trying to cool the car, all that switching off the AC does is switch off the unit, not the fans, on the premium model the display will still read AUTO, to switch off the fans press the OFF button on the centre dial.

There are no motion sensors on the i30.

Sorry bumpkin,
what i meant is that when i switch the unit 'off' the fans still seem to blow, when AC and the whole unit is switched off.

So when you switch the entire unit off and the display goes dark your fans are still blowing???

Could it be air that is being rammed through the vents while driving? Does it feel like the fans are blowing when stationary?
