ESP light is on & dealer says its the stop light switch thats the problem? although stop lights work fine?

Could be a switch error or it could be tyre pressures.

So even thro' the light is on and an error due to stop lights did they say whether it was still active?

I'm 99.9% sure if your esp light is staying on its not working, and the same with an airbag light.be carefull and get it fixed under warranty.

ESP light is on & dealer says its the stop light switch thats the problem? although stop lights work fine?
great but did the dealer say he would fix it under warranty?
if so it would be good if you informed the forum of the cause and remedy,
the information could be useful to others who encounter the same problem.

There have been a few reports of ESP light coming on, and I believe it so far has always been attibutable to wrong tyre pressures or brake light switch failure.
If it was something else then it would for sure be covered by the warranty.

I had my i30 in yesterday being repaired under warranty as my ESP Off light kept showing up on dash intermittedly. I was also told that it was due to a faulty brake light switch as it is all connected.
