Title: I30 GD Diesel electrical whine

Hi all, first time poster but long time lurker.

So I have a 2013 GD 1.6 diesel tourer, and I’ve noticed a new sound from the ending. Happens when I turn the ignition off, even when the motor hasn’t been running. I have a video of it happening which I will link if that’s not against the rules.

Any help even just to identify the part would be super appreciated. Any extra info you need just ask.

Quite normal, my GD petrol has always done that after turning off the ignition.

Firty does that, too. The duration coincides with when you can still wind windows if you haven't yet opened any doors.

Looks like normal operation. I once read about it. Can't remember if if was for fuel rail pressure or did it have something to do with flaps inside the intake manifold. My FD diesel has done similar thing.

Hey thanks for the replies guys. Puts my mind at ease! I don’t pop the hood very often and I had to change the headlight globes so it’s probably just the first time I noticed it. Probably got lucky and timed it with turning off the ignition. Cheers again!

I've seen that bottle before but I think someone changed the label :undecided: should be Eclectic Leg Opener :D
