Title: Auto hold turns *off* automatically!
Post by: filthyPierre on October 22, 2021, 05:21:56
Hi there,

Wondering if anyone else has experienced this - the auto hold function in my PD3 DCT Nline randomly turns itself off. It's been doing this for a while now.

I used to use it a fair bit when I was driving in traffic (work commute) but about 6 months ago, I started noticing after braking to a stop in traffic, the auto hold function would be off. I thought at first I was going mad - coulda sworn I'd switched it on before... then saw it one day while I was driving, it turned itself off and would do so all the time. But never while stopped. Until... one day I was sitting at a set of lights on a hill, and the bloody thing turned off (with a loud clunk) while I was standing still. As my foot wasn't on the brake, the car rolled backwards. Luckily the car behind me wasn't close so I managed to hit the brakes before it went too far. I've not used it since.

Anyone else had this happen?

Cheers,

FP

Sounds like a warranty visit...
