We were in town yesterday and I was standing out in the cold idly people watching, whilst Libby was browsing a charity shop, when a scruffy pick-up truck came roaring up the road. It came to a stop opposite me and proceeded to parallel park at some speed into a space I thought was impossible. I was sure that it would hit the BMW behind but it stopped with the tow bar about 15mm from the front of the BMW.
The driver jumped out of her truck and crossed the road into the pub opposite.
I was gobsmacked.

Strewth - I'd be real proud of that much accuracy

Surely that's luck!

Was there a gap at the cars rear to allow them to manoeuvre backwards.

This talk of precision parking reminds me of more agricultural parking aids:
Ultrasonics? Video? Radar? Bah humbug!

Yes - far more than necessary but not enough for anything other than a Smart Car or Motorbike.
