Title: Pheasant...
Post by: steve9500 on May 09, 2022, 07:40:25
Hi,

I hit a suicidal pheasant (is there another type) a few days ago. I've discovered that the top of my l/h led front lights/fog lamp is loose, as in disconnected / broken away from the mount.

I've looked for a workshop manual to see how this is fitted. Haynes don't seem to have a full manual. Could anyone tell me or show how this is fitted?

I have a 2012 i30 1.6 CRD (new shape, not the previous model).

Steve. It may be a good idea if you could post a photo of the area with damaged lights as attachment to your post. That may help people to better understand your issue and offer advice.

I no longer own an i30 - but if you are referring to lights set low down in the bumper you will probably have to remove the bumper to get at the broken mounting on the inside.

I've found some YouTube videos now. Just got to find the time to remove the bumper and assess the damage.

Thanks all for responding.
