Hi all
My wife had some acrobatics yesterday as the driver's door of her Hyundai i30 Trophy 2012 petrol 2ltr would not unlock and for that matter does not work with either the key or remote. So we are stuck with a car that needs 61-year-old acrobatics to climb over to the passenger side to get out. What can I look for to help ourselves as being on disability pension means taking it to a workshop is out of the question at the moment. I am pretty handy and have once already replaced the inside door panel of the same-mentioned door. Any help from the brain's trust would be much appreciated.
Many thanks in advance
Kind regards
Roger

Hi Roger
I have a 2009 i30 down in Melbourne. My passenger door refuses to open.
I understand that not all models have a DEADLOCK function,,Ozzie imports do..
I suspect that the DEADLOCK is not releasing.
I purchased a s/h unit from wrecker hopping to locate a manic release trigger/button but not successful.. have you had any luck?
Give me a call pls 0421011426

Hi Roger
Ime following a post of yours re i30 door problem..
Mine is a 09 passenger front door unable to unlock.l reckon the DEADLOCK is dead..all other doors are ok.lve purchased a replacement lock from wrecker .there
Is a trigger on the inside but will need to cut into door trim and door frame to get at it...
How did you solve you problem please

There were recalls for cable falures on some older models - certainly on the 2009 UK model.
