Title: Interchangeable engine parts

Hi all,

I'm curious if all d4fb engine parts are interchangeable, regardless of car make, model, year, etc.

I have a 2010 i30 crdi, however I'm struggling to find parts from that specific model. I can however find parts from other models (2011 Accent for instance) with the same d4fb engine.

I know the answer is yes with some other engine manufacturers, however, not sure if Hyundai follows the same rule of thumb, and I was hoping to confirm with more experienced Hyundai fanatics than me.

Any help or input would be appreciated.

Many bolt on parts can be shared though internals would likely have some differences.

One way to test this, within the limits of your faith in accuracy, is to check eBay and Alibaba for aftermarket parts, which are often listed as compatible for a range of models and even brands.
