Title: Caliper glide pin grease

Is there a difference between the silicone grease sold for greasing glide pins, and the silicone grease used by plumbers? I have a pot of the plumbers' grease already. It says it's water resistant and high temperature, and looks like the grease I get in tiny sachets with caliper rebuild kits. Far cheaper as well.
