Title: How to remove radiator cap
Post by: FourthHorseman on December 08, 2022, 19:49:58
Slightly stupid question, clockwise or anti clockwise to open the radiator tap? Mine is VERY stiff and im concerned ill break it trying to open it.
How long did it take to drain?

Push the cap downwards, then while holding it down twist it left.

Don't attempt this while hot. The coolant, that is.

When I hear 'there are no stupid questions' I often add 'only stupid people asking them'.
I think that's funny but nobody else ever laughs! :crazy1:

I think it was Bradley Spare Parts (Wenworth Ave, Sydney) in the 1960's that had a sign on the wall to the effect "Better to ask a stupid question than to have to fix a stupid mistake."  :)
