Petrol in Melbourne was 17c a litre and country Victoria charged an outrageous 22c

I remember buying a gallon, 4.546 litres, of petrol for around 5 shillings.
Equivalent to 25p

At change to decimals I would pay, I think, 89p for 3 gallons.
