Title: Traffic data service unavailable??
Post by: Justeuman on January 09, 2024, 01:45:08
I've just bought myself a used 2018 i30 PD active hatchback and trying to learn as much as I can about it.
It has the 8" gen 5 satnav (fully updated) and it mentions live traffic, traffic info etc in a few places but when I go into the menu for traffic updates it only says Traffic data service unavailable

Is there anyone that can help me getting this working or how it is supposed to work?
The best I can find is the info might be piggybacked over a radio station signal

Thanks in advance

With my Ioniq the traffic data info stopped when the car was 5 years old. I now have to link it to my phone for the data feed (which works).

Thanks for the reply Shambles.
I've tried that via cable and bluetooth without luck, might ask the local dealer tomorrow

Have you tried setting a "personal hotspot" on your phone and linking the radio to it via wifi?  That's how I had to do it.
