Title: i30 1.6 CRDi 2011 MY from Nosovice factory
Post by: mtuckeruk on September 11, 2010, 09:52:31
This one is from the Nosovice factory in the Czech Republic. Extras include:-
Tail gate trim
Rear Bumper Protector
Rear Spoiler
Side Mouldings
Sunroof

Changes from previous 2010 model and earlier are the front fogs are standard now, the front grille and fog lights are redesigned. Side skirts are standard. It appears the front and rear bumpers are lower than previous model. I tried getting the CrossKit fitted to this model but they told me (when they tried to fit it by the sounds of it) that it doesnt fit and that side skirts already on car. So it appears that the it comes standard with a 'pseudo kit' ie lower body front and back to give it more of a sporty look.

It also comes with a Eco Drive Indicator telling you when its best to change gear(up and down). I have the ISG (Intelligent Stop and Go) fitted as well. Which is ok nothing to rave about, luckily you can just switch it off as well if you want, it puts this car into a lower CO2 BAND 119g/co2 (£30 per year road tax), so worth fitting. Switches car off(below 5mph) and on(above 5mph) when in neutral and clutch out. This is the 6 speed manual version, although 5th and 6th ratios seem very close not much difference between them.

The new estate is slightly longer than previous model. Rear seating has plenty of space. Although boot space sacrified slightly compared to other estates.

Some pics of sunroof exterior and interior as well the Eco-drive Indicator (indicating to change to 3rd from 2nd)

Eco-drive tends to indicate to change up at about 2100rpm from 1st-6th gear,

For changing down its at about 1300-1400rpm for gears 4th, 5th and 6th, it doesnt really work from 3rd to 2nd or 2nd to 1st, this is either cos there is generally enough torque in those gears at low revs or perhaps an anti-stall feature prevents that for the lower gears.

The inside surround for the sunroof looks like its coming loose on one corner?

The silver strip on the tailgate above the lock is standard I think, the extra tailgate trim is the silver bit below the CRDi badge.

Sunroof is all fine, nothing loose, are you perhaps referring to the wind deflector part??

Yes I think you are correct the tailgate trim is the strip along the edge of the tailgate. I bought this car off the web(small company that deals direct with factory in Czech Republic) rather than through the typical Hyundai agent. It works outs £2800 that you save through the web agent rather than buying from main dealer. You still get all the extras such as the 5 Year Triple Care package(5 year warranty, 5 Year Roadside/Breakdown assistance and 5 Year free Inspection tests). Although I think the 5 year free inspection test is pretty much worthless, but hey I will take what I can get if its free. I had to wait 5 months for this car, ordered it in April 2010 and got it in August 2010. But worth the wait.

It's definitely not flush to the roof... the right side looks to be similar

in the top left hand corner you have a small gap(groove) where the shade slides back and forth. Then above that you have what looks like an air gap and then the wind deflector above that. I have looked at this over and over again and cant see what is wrong. Its not an internal sunroof, the shade is internal but the window portion slides out above the roof. The wind deflector is like a horizontal bar that raise up slightly when the sunroof is open to stop air blowing too hard into sunroof

Is it loose and can it be pushed back up? My guess is your guys will either do just that, or glue it, or both

I like it.
Seems that they redesigned the wheel leather trim too :) Previous models out of Nosoviche factory had a unpleasant grip.

Is it an after market sunroof or a genuine hyundai one?

You order the sun roof through Hyundai but its actually done by a Webasto approved fitment centre. Not a genuine Hyundai sunroof, Hyundai dont do their own sunroof in UK.

Webasto is a known good company.
I noticed that there are three different inside surroundings for the same (?) roof.
