Hi guys! I have a Hyundai i30 FD 1.6CRDi 2010. I changed my steering rack and pinion because the old one caused horrendous noises when changing the direction when stationary. I bought a used one of course, because buying a new one doesn't make sense(and it's very expensive). Now with the other one, when I took it from the mechanic, no noises whatsoever. After 4 hours I drove it again and it knocks on the steering wheel when you turn it back and forth when stationary, left and right changing directions fast. Is it something to worry about? Can it be a problem with the steering rack and pinion again?
