Hello all, I couldn't find anything in Search. My battery has just died. It isn't an AGM type. Does anybody know of any major issues with me changing it myself, electrics-wise? I understand various settings will have to be reset (clock, auto windows, trip computer etc listed in the manual) but otherwise, are there any other things that will prevent me from just swapping the batteries?
Thanks very much for any insight.

I put in a new battery: a Century "DIN65LH MF". The old battery was out of the car for 60 minutes while I took it to Recycling and purchased the new battery. Car fired up with no issues and had retained all the radio stations and phone connections.

Good work :goodjob:
Surprised the radio setting were retained, but whatever... :)

I was too, Shambles, must be a memory battery or thumbdrive-type storage thingee somewhere.

On my 2015 GD diesel, I've changed the battery, and had the battery disconnected for quite a while in order to replace the fuel filter. No issues with reconnecting the battery, other than having to reset all the radio presets. My partner has an almost identical car except it is the SE Nav with touch-screen display and reversing camera, and it retained all the presets whilst the battery was disconnected. I can't comment on whether that applies to PD variant.
