Title: Replacement ECU Not Available
Post by: carbpow on March 04, 2025, 07:21:41
I have a 2009 i30 1.6l petrol AT. The local dealer said the ECU was bad and they attempted repairs but that didn't work. Now they say Hyundai Mobis no longer supplies this part number. They have offered no solution. Does anyone know if there is a substitute ECU and if so where can it be purchased? The car only has 65,000km on it and I hate the idea of junking it.

Hi  :welcum:

A few years ago I sent an ECU off for repair - a few capacitors had bloated and blown. Only cost £125 GBP.

A quick google shows a few companies in ther Philippines can repair ECUs, and a few forums discuss repairs in general.

I tried two local guys who said they repaired ECUs, one worked for the local Hyundai dealer. I may try another.
