Title: What fluid level should I expect to see in the radiator?

I've just had a service completed by auto mechanic. I can see that the coolant bottle fluid level is between the bottom and top line, however when I take off the radiator cap I see no fluid inside. The invoice says red coolant, that's not what I'm seeing inside the coolant bottle. Advice please
