Hello all,
I've had this problem for a few years, but have managed to live with it. I tried the recharge thing a while ago, and it gave me cool air for a few hours. I've got a garage appointment next week, and I've started looking at some videos etc to try work out what the problem could be.
I noticed that the compressor clutch never disengages - it's constantly spinning whether the aircon is on or off. Most people seem to be saying this is a problem, but I've saw one or two comments saying it's perfectly normal and some clutches work like that.
I'm going to have a look at the relay / fuse box and see if there's anything wrong there. I have some UV leak tracer liquid, but haven't used yet, and I've go a circuit tester screwdriver in the mail.
Anyone got any thoughts of what the most likely fix could be?
Thanks!
