GOT PROBLEMS OR ISSUES? => PETROL => Topic started by: SRPremium on April 20, 2025, 01:07:33

Hi all,
I have a 16 GD 2.0 petrol 6 speed auto, and it's developed an issue where if we are going on an incline and the transmission kicks back a gear, the car will rev, but not gain speed, as if the transmission is somehow not engaging.
I had originally thought it may be a partially blocked fuel filter as my wife had driven in a dirt road for an extended period of time and could have potentially picked up some dirt that made its way into the tank; however the filter has been replaced and it's still unchanged.
Has anyone else experienced a similar issue?
Cheers
Dann :crazy1:

For those playing at home, the issues were caused by collapsed catalytic converters (both at the manifold and under the drivers seat) causing excessive exhaust back pressure.

Thanks for the feedback.
