Title: Headlight Delay Not Working – Hyundai i30 1.4 CRDI (2014)
Post by: Mohamed on May 22, 2025, 22:14:26
Hi everyone,

I’m having an issue with the headlight delay function on my 2014 Hyundai i30 1.4 CRDI. A couple of months ago, the lights stopped turning on when I unlock or lock the car. This used to work fine before, and I really miss the convenience and added safety.

Here’s what I’ve tried so far:

Checked all the fuses – they’re fine

Disconnected the battery for 30 minutes to reset the system

Confirmed that the headlight delay option is enabled in the onboard computer

The only thing I haven’t checked yet is the relays. Could this be the problem? Has anyone experienced something similar or know what else I could try?

Thanks in advance for any advice!

You don't mention whether you have checked the switch on the stalk is set correctly and not been moved/turned off.

May be worth checking.

Hi, I’m not sure what you mean by ‘switch on the stalk’. Which switch are you referring to? headlights switch? Mine doesn’t have auto btw
