I have chez model October 2009 champagne color , and i have some problems when I get my car.
1. The driver airbag light was always on, and after 3-4 times going to local service they fix it
2. When I buy from the first month from the rear suspension you can hear some crazy noise , this summer the rear left suspension has broken the liquid was out and all wheel was with liquid, when I went to local service they told me that this is the first time to change suspension on i30 :-))) the had 7.000 km:-)))) I had zastava and Lada and I didn't have problems like this. After they changed suspension the creky sond was gone but after 1 month i came again:((((
3. Before one week I noticed that I have big color problem so the color on the roof was missing in diameter of 2 cm :(((( very bad. I will post some pictures to see it. when I look up all car I saw small dots and it seems like the color is vanished :((( i see just gray color :((((, on the front and the backside.
I'm from Macedonia , and I'm sorry for my bad English
Please can you give some advise, the car is always stays in garage.

sounds like the shokies are subject to a lot of rough roads... are the roads nice and smooth there or like a zimbabwe road? do you do a fair bit of driving on dirt roads?
some other members have reported paint problems... good luck definatly get to the dealer and make it known!
-
I live in Center of Skopje the Capitol of Macedonia , in my town there is not dirt roads and I never drive on a dirt road.
I will go again to my dealer to see the rear suspension.
I have bad opinion to Macedonian Hyundai official service because I must do service every 7.500 km, they are crazy. All countries in Europe do service on 15.000 or 20.000. Just for money they do this!!!!

Very sad situation for you vodnokoki :'(
Hope you can get it all sorted... There seems to be more problems with the European made Cars than the Korean made ones (particularly paint and Shokies)

i feel your pain, i too have paint issues see "Hipposniper paint problem take 2 " and mine on a sept 2009 vivid blue... your not alone

Hi to ALL,
After many negotiations with official distributor for Hyundai in Macedonia, they not accept replacement for new car, I tried in Consumer Rights agency but they don't have power to do anything because Macedonia has some law that if the product is faulty 3 times after repairing they must to replace it.
I send you some pictures from my Hyundai i30.
I call to factory and mr "PR" said to me that they will restore my Joy:-)))))) I am not kid:))))))
Hyundai is a bad company , including chez factory.

Send pictures to your news paper and let them tell the story. Hyundai will not like that.

This should explain a couple of things:

My car also did make some noise from the suspension. Technicians had a look at it today and they will replace all 4 shocks. They told me that this problem came when Hyundai changed supplier. Mine is a 2010 and has only rolled 6500km, so it can be cars from CZ that has this problem. They didn't exactly say that, but I suspect it.
I don't think the shock likes -20*C and norwegian roads

There have been problems requiring larger bump stop replacements and with the outer plastic covers slipping down.
-
I don't know exactly what happened with mine, but I guess some kind of internal problem in the shock itself. They said that "the rest" looked OK.
Now it's -2*C here, and it sounds like an orchestra when hitting bumps in the road  i30 is a good car, but has it's flaws like other brands(but better warranty :goodjob:).

I like myowni30's suggestion too. You can go one step further and give the story to your newspaper but also send a copy to Hyundai headquarters in Europe (if there is one) or in South Korea. If you need help writing a letter in English with correct franker and spelling, etc, then send me a private email. I will try and help you.
