Title: DCT Clutch Replacement
Post by: R11OCR on June 12, 2025, 18:52:11
Reaching out to UK members…

I have an i30 estate, 1.6 diesel (136hp) estate, with a DCT box.

I need a new clutch and flywheel.

My question is…

DOES ANYONE KNOW A GARAGE WHO WILL FO THE WORK???

Every mechanic I go to pulls the same face, and tells me I’m going to HAVE to use a main dealer… the problem is software. Nobody near me (Gloucestershire) has Kia/Hyundai soft wear to be able to program the new biting point.

I’ve seen YouTube videos using a kerb and nudging the car up to it in Drive to fix the common ‘shudder’ issue. Would this work with a whole new clutch pack and flywheel…? Or am I destined to pay £168 p/h labour and 50% extra for parts at the dealership??

I had the same issue here in AUS, ended up having to go to a Hyundai dealer.
