Title: Air Con Issue
Post by: Stevie J on June 19, 2025, 09:40:21
So after having the Air Con on yesterday, it gradually ground to a virtual halt.. the air temp was good but despite fan on 4, almost nothing was coming out of all vents whichever. way I configured it.. It went back to normal after I turned off the air con button for a minute or 2 and then back on again. Is this a known issue please or the sign of something to come?

Did you have it on a low fan setting initially?

it was on 2 and toggling between 2 & 3... then it gradually blew less and less so I turned to 4, with very little air coming through.

It's called AC icing, I've had it before on a hot day on the motorway, it felt like the pollen filter was blocked.
If there's not enough air blowing over the AC matrix, it gets so cold that the humid air freezes and blocks the airflow, if you swith off the AC for a few minutes, the ice melts and it works as normal.
It's perfectly normal, nothing to worry about, 👍
