Title: FD 'Navi' head unit
Post by: Jaime_AGP on August 24, 2025, 17:42:32
Hi All.  In my haste to buy a functioning head unit I bought a Hyundai navigation unit HMCNRM100-00 by mistake . The main connectors appear to match the car's wiring, but the navi unit has a GPS antenna connection and a radio antenna connection (both round). Neither antenna connections match the car's existing antenna wiring (square), so before I buy an adapter, can anyone tell me which is for the GPS and which is the radio please?  I appreciate that the navigation won't work.

Also, I'm hopeful that adding 1212 to the serial number will unlock the unit, if it is code locked.  I'm in the UK with the unit and the car is in Spain, so hopefully airport security won't order a cavity search for me when they scan my hand luggage and see what I'm carrying

To my reckoning, the upper socket is the classic old radio antenna connection.
The fancier lower socket is a stranger new step up in technology.
