Title: i30CW, Victoria, Australia
Post by: goosington on September 05, 2025, 10:39:35
Evening all, joining in to learn the secrets of adding cruise control to my latest i30cw.
I've owned i30s my entire adult life.
I started with an 2008 diesel i30 which I inherited from my father, is was still working when my ex-wife got it in the divorce.
A year later I bought a 2009 diesel i30cw from a plumber who'd intended to use it for his work. It was low kms, 160k kms, but maybe it didn't have the same engine it started life with.
This year it ticked over 300k kms and needed the plugs and control arms replaced. There were some rather suspicious leaks reported in the gasket and transmission.
Despite months of pre-lubing the plugs, two snapped and I considered an engine rebuild until I discovered my recent purchase, a 2010 diesel i30cw with 80k kms.
The new whip is lacking cruise control, the front passenger footwell floods when it rains and the rear passenger door doesn't unlock; But it turns over and I expect it to last me another 6-10 years.

:wlcome01: goosington. Good luck with the latest. The niggles all seem quite repairable.
