Hi all, I decided to do a quick check on my oil and found out that my engine oil smells strongly of fuel. Naturally, I was pretty worried about that and took it to get services and looked over.
The mechanic who worked on my car said that it was just due to needing a service; all the components should be fine, and the fuel smell is because it has a turbo. When I got the car back home, I had another look at my new oil and it still reeked of fuel.
I know he said that it was fine, but all other sources suggest that it could lead to a major problem. What do you think?
The car has around 126,000k's with an Xforce exhaust and BFG blow-off valve, which I've just installed.

I'm no expert but I would expect fuel to degrade the effectiveness of your oil practically immediately.
