Title: 2022 i30 hatch roof racks

I feel dumb because I can’t find any concrete info on this. I have an old 2014 i30 with roof racks. That i30 has little slots on the roof that open and expose threaded holes for installing roof racks.

I want to move these roof racks onto my newer 2022 i30 hatch. But this one has no slots. The black “rail” running the length of roof is dead smooth. I’m assuming these require a different kind of attachment system to my current roof racks.

Can anyone help me with what I should be looking for here? I’ve found some style of attachments that hook under the door opening,  but that seems excessive. Is there another style that is designed to fit?

My current roof racks are Yakima aeros if that helps.

I looked around the web for images and videos but it seems there's not much out there. Chances are that when you do find how to get the PD's strips off to access mounting points, they won't line up width-wise with the GD's rack. That's when we can do some corresponding to get you an adapter set 3D designed and printed.

Thanks. Seems these newer ones have some kind of bracket that grabs the door frame and secures that way. I need to get some of them
