Title: 2013 i30 elite, having daily issue with car not starting first start.
Post by: Darky on July 25, 2026, 11:59:43
The car won't go on the first push start attempt first thing in the morning. Will kick over on second press. Then on the odd occasion just keeps cranking over and wont start.  I have managed to get it to fire after keeping left foot on brake and pumping accelerator. It starts and continues to almost stall several times and eventually it keeps running (be it rough) for a period, then settles down to normal idle. You can let it run and shut it off after that and it starts first press of start button. The rest of the day it doesn't have any issue starting. And the next morning same thing. Its a lot worse if car doesn't get a run for a few days.
Have fitted new fuel pump, Crank position sensor and new Battery recently and problem not resolved.

Mine's a CRDi so I'm not sure I'll hit on the right points but I would think about fuel or air pressure as in any leakage affecting optimal mixture or fuel supply.

Throttle body or MAF sensor (or is it MAP on these)?
