I'm not in favor of De badging .... this is my first i30 and although I've had a Tucson, Sonata (still have) and iload crew van, I'm more than happy to fly the Hyundai flag which is now an extremely good product and will leave a lot of the other manufacturers for dead and if the 'badge snobs' want to play a 'lets pretend' game ..... Well if it makes them happy then good for them !! perhaps save a few more penny's and buy the ego boost one :lol:

I like my 5 year warranty sticker. The dealer sticker went on day 1.
Speaking of badges a growing number of dealers here are sticking their car dealership name to the duco in small gold or shiny letters just above the rear Hyundai badge which I would regard as vandalism's .... sticker to the back window and sign number plate surround is no problem but to stick their name on the duco of the car is going too far.
After seeing the photo agentr31 posted, who cares about car badging. I just hope agentr31 lists the phone number :lol::lol: :lol:
i removed all of the free advertising on our cars within 10 minutes of getting them home. :wink:

I removed the dealers and also the Hyundai 5 year warranty sticker as soon as I got home and debadged the metal Hyundai and i30 badges within a week using dental floss and not fishing line.
I'm certainly not a badge snob as it's still got the big H in the middle of the grill, and the rear hatch.
I'm perfectly happy to fly the Hyundai flag but I just think the back of my car looks that much cleaner :D :D :D

YES the 'H' badge does have drilled holes in to the door but I didn't click to this even after breaking 3 sections of fishing line and thinkiing Errrr .. wth but I'm an Ozzie/Pom/Irish person and was thankful for SUPERGLUE, all is well now :)

I don't think we can buy those high spoilers with the air flow gap above the roof here in Oz ... looks real cool and I've never seen one with the decal exhaust sports pack either, Had the car dealer 'Phoenix' put his advertising sticker on the inside of your back window ? looks like it from the photo.

Nope - no huge issues. I just used dental floss and WD-40... I didn't even use a hair dryer (since I live in Sunny North QLD and the surface was hot enough)
In saying that, I would suggest that you use a hair dryer because then you won't have so much heartache making sure all of the glue is off the car. Other than that, it is pretty straight forward.. Just make sure that it is really what you want because once it is done... IT IS DONE .... It is definitely a way to make your car more unique. I think I could safely say my i30 is the only one in Townsville that it is the way it is :-)
Photos will be up as soon as I buy a new laptop.. whenever that may be :faint:

I'm not into debadging but always peel off the dealer sticker and usually replace the dealer number plate frames as well.. :goodjob:
