He was banned for two weeks because he needs a car to go for cancer treatment.

Why would he need to call an ambulance

Calling Hipposniper.........................You got busses and taxis in Devon   Yeah   Right if the ar5ehole can afford a Ferrari he can afford to get a bus.

Highlights how sh1t our legal system is.

(Can you guess how I feel about this now  )

Do I take it to mean, if he hadn't "needed" the car to go to hospital he'd have been suspended for longer.

Whatever the case, his driving was irresponsible.

And in my experience it's not the availabilty of ambulances that's the problem, it's the amount of time needed to offload patients at overworked casualty units.

The ban is not far off expectation. He might have had 4 weeks without the mitigating circumstances. The fine is a little on the light side though. Perhaps he spent all his money on the Ferrari.

(many) Years ago I was stopped by the police at over a hundered miles an hour on the M42 (not in the i30).  I've chosen to forget the penalty I received, but lets just say it taught me a lesson.

Some years ago a high profile media personality in Australia was caught doing around 160 kph on the Hume Highway heading for his home in the Southern Highlands.
He went to court and argued that driving at that speed in his Rolls Royce was quite safe as it was such a superior car.
The magistrate agreed.

I shouldn't say who he is but "you know what I mean"

yes  we do have buses here in Devon, (just lol ) so slow and nacked i can see why he took the Ferrrari, how ever if i was the judge i would of made the guy watch his beloved car get scraped in one of those machines and see it come out the other end in a cube... "there hope u learnt your lesson... and BUY an i30  not a Ferrari"
