Title: 2010 Hyundai UK sales defy gravity
Post by: Lorian on November 29, 2010, 21:24:22
57,391 vehicleas already sold in the UK in 2010, beating last years total of 56,927.

Forecast for full year, 62,000 vehicles, up 9% year on year.

25% were i30s.

Pretty amazing considering the climate, and scrappage ending early in the year.

Tony Whitehorn, Hyundai's managing director, said: "Whilst 2009 was a great year for Hyundai in the UK, 2010 is even better. Scrappage gave the franchise a boost and catapulted it into people's awareness. 2010 proves that we are here to stay.

"Our dealers are earning more than 2% return on sales - which is amongst the best in the industry - and we have people queuing up wanting the franchise."

Odd.

I'm sure I read somewhere that HY UK had closed a few as sales had been poor.

May be and excuse to close a francise and open a new one who will pay HY UK more £££££
