I have a 50-50 mix of screenwash in my washers at the moment. one thing I noticed is on the back window (which is getting very salty) it's running off and freezing into to little stream icycles as soon as it hits the metalwork.
Thankfully we have 4c forecast tomorrow, i30 wash day :sweating:
-
30c here today. :o :sweating:

We moan, here in the UK, when it's too hot. Also when it's too cold. It's a "Brit thing" to be sure.
Right now, I'd like to turn off the heating which is still struggling to keep the indoor temp around the 18c mark ???
-
If I'm paying for the gas I'd much rather it be switched off  don't tell SWMBO

how do you dig out your car without scratching it? :scared:
-
I use a soft bristle long handle sweeping brush, when you have that much snow you never get it completely off anyway, so the brush never actually reaches the bodywork :winker:

So, not a good time to walk across campus for a coffee/ hot chocolate? :faint:

Well i am well impressed with the handling in the snow,
i dont think the uk model has traction control (well mine doesnt) however the traction is very impressive,as is the braking, the ESP light was flashing like crazy but i think it has a bit of a delay in activation?
but overall its the best 2wheel drive car in the snow i have owned :D
-
You do have traction control, it is part of the ESP system, if you have the button by your right knee to switch it off, give it a go (but be careful!)
-
LOL!!! i always turn ESP off...

if i boot it in the snow the wheels just spin and i go nowhere that's why i didn't think i had it ?

Try it (obviously somewhere safely) with one wheel on snow/ice and one on tarmac.
If both wheels are spinning at the same rate its easy for the system to just think you are driving along, you need some speed differential between the front wheels for it to kick it in.
My old car used to back off the power when TC kicked in, and was really noticeable. On the i30 I don't think it does this, or if t does its action is subtle in comparison.

Thanks surferdude :D :D
AND I know who to ask for tyre advice too, when the time comes...
-
Thats interesting Lorian I find that the computer control with the ESP on is very noticable, it is very easy to over-rev with it off, yet when on mine seems to bog down at about 2,500-3,000RPM.

This isn't FIFA or the X factor
(For those that are not aware FIFA allegedly sold votes for the 2018 and 2022 World Cup. The X Factor is a UK TV singing contest and again Syco (Company owned by Simon Cowell) allegedly changed the rules to keep in a "cash Cow"
ps
surferdude - Post your Xmas Avatar and we'll see if you can out do her  :o
