Gotten my ride after waiting for more than 2 months. Some pics to share with.
The ride is fitted with Compressed Natural Gas kit thus allows me to switch

What's the acceleration like when using CNG compared with petrol? Can you switch between the two as you're driving along?

What is the cost of gas compared to petrol?
Does the government give you an incentive to have natural gas?
i.e reduced purchase cost, road tax etc

Welcome, acceleration less powerful than petrol. Yes, I can switch between two when driving
at any speed. You won't feel any effect while doing so. But while in CNG mode, will experience
intermittent slight jerks but will get it fine tune with my installer soon.

Actually in SG, government gives 40% rebate on the car's open market value which is about
$7K plus. I used this rebate to pay for the CNG kit installation cost which abt $4K plus. OVerall,
the car price(CNG model) as compared to petrol version is cheaper abt $2k. So far CNG being
widely use in Thailand & Malaysia which they called it NGV(Natural Gas Vehicle) & no damage to
engine reported. Price of CNG cost abt $1.41 to $1.7 per kg (typically can fill up to 12-13kg for a 66 litres tank which can last me abt 180km - 230km. As for petrol, the cost is $1.93 per litre. Thus overall still save quite an amount, only that have to made frequent fill up. The cons are that lesser boot space & carrying a dead weight of at least 66.5kg(empty) in my car. My
objective is to save cost as I travel quite extensively & also can contribute to a greener enviroment.

The car is covered by Hyundai for 3 years or 60,000km warranty whichever comes first. The
CNG kit is covered for 1 year by the installer.

If you do mods to your car Hy will not consider certain claims under warranty.
As an example in a diesel if you use bio diesel in excess of a certain % then they will not consider warranty claim.
So is gas convertion an acceptable conversion by Hyundai?

I`ve let Hyundai install mine, thats why my car is so late. Mine will be installed where spare tire would be, so it won`t take up so much room. Will post pictures as soon as I get it

I guessed so cos they sell i30 with CNG. But its only that it is locally fitted unlike
Chevy where they are factory fitted before ship to SG.

spheng, did you bought yours at Hyundai ?
Yup, I bought it from the Hyundai's authorised dealer . It took me 2 months plus to get it installed
& inspected by our land transport authority. The good thing is that I still can retrieve my spare tyre & tools with the large tank installed.
