Hi guys,
Anyone got the manufacturer parking sensor or reversing camera from Hyundai?
Give me some ideas pls
Should I pay AUD $695 to Hyundai or somewhere else?
???

Hi Maple I got rid of your Poll it didn't make sense.. (sorry)
I have reversing camera and parking sensors in my current car and reckon they are worth A$695 if you can get them for that.. :goodjob:
There are cheaper options available from Ebay but factory install would be neater and come with Hyundai warranty..

Hi Dazzler
I meant should I fit the sensor with the dealer or buy it at eBay and fit by a mechanic? What's everyone's experience? Any difficulty with this accessory?
But I think you answered my question. Thanks

WoW - AUD $695
You can get the same type of ebay for about AUD $40 (3 or 4 sensors). Only 2 wires to connect. One to the (-) ground/body, the other one to one of the reversing light wires(+).
There is just a control box/sounder that the sensors plug into (placed behind the rear side boot trim). And the 2 wires coming from it to connect as I said above.
Get a good local repair shop to quote you for fitting. Find out who your local Hyundai dealer uses.

Well if he wants a double din unit in place of the standard radio with all the bells and whistles then that might be an okay price. I know some of those units can work with reversing camera etc.

Fair call :-[ I didn't notice the OR.. at that price $695.. I assumed it was both

somebody posted about a sensorless reversing kit a while ago, so there isn't any holes required.

I think it's called looking over your shoulder... :winker:

I have seen them. They use a metal type tape that sticks inside the bumper(s), so you still need to remove the bumper(s) to fit the tape. Not sure they work that well either. I only say that because I would have thought that car companies would have adopted the system if it was good so as not to have the sensors showing.

I had the colour coded Hyundai sensors x 4, included in the deal but they had quoted me $590.00 inc GST and installed for my MY2011 cw Trophy. They are a brilliant accessory and worth every cent .... they have saved our lazy dogs life several times now :).

Hyundai sells ultrasonic sensors for AUD$385 (not including labour). If they can do better works...?!
Where can I buy the electromagnetic ones? eBay?
BTW The ipod cable costs for $95. Surprising!!! (Sorry I'm a new owner) :o

With regards to the electromagnetic parking sensors, Peugeot were fitting them as an accessory for a very brief period but withdrew them from the market due to the poor operation of the kit. I'd think if a major manufacturer couldn't get a good performance from them, the aftermarket guys may struggle too?
Just my 0.02 cents worth.
