Hey guys,
I got my rear spoiler mounted today. Ordered it a few weeks ago at Auto-Style. To my surprise it was a different model as showed on the pics in the catalogue - but I liked it even better. It cost a bit of trouble getting the right paint. It had to be spraid twice, because the first time the color was too yellow.
Here are the first pics. I'm very satisfied.
Greetings!
Tony

I have to be honest, Tony, it would take me quite some time to get used to that spoiler.
Oh, and your i-catcher looks very clean, with it's nice little aerial

Hi I-catcher... Different but I quite like it ...nice <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_biggrin.gif" alt=":D" title="Very Happy" />
Crikey...even the wife liked it.

That is different ;)

It's different and eye catching to spolier shown before but just 1 observation.
Having a gap between where the spoiler meets the roof will this not cause wind drag or is this designed to deflect air down between the spolier and rear window, similar to an F1 spoiler, to force the rear wheels onto the road for better grip?

eye30,
Just had a look at the site you referenced in your post. There are two Rear Spoilers, one without a gap and the other with a gap. The one with a gap is different than the one icatcher (Tony) has on his car.

Hey guys,
Thanks for your honest opinions. I know, it's not the usual one, but I thought this might be the right one for the i-catcher. At first I also was a bit afraid of wind drag (noise), but I don't notice anything of strange noises, even driving on the freeway.
And Shambles, as I am not a native English speaker, I don't understand your second remark..?

Bob,
when I checked the Hy UK site and saw both, I preferred the 1 to the link I posted.
The spoiler in your link, I'm not convinced that there is a gap but rather a reflection.

Thanks Shambles! I washed it about 2 weeks ago...
I used Maguires stuff, that's the secret...

I washed it about 2 weeks ago... :.
I have an automatic car wash and my i30 gets a wash nearly every day. It's called rain.

looks alright.
