Got bored so decided I would de-badge my car, can't believe how easy it was to do; only took about 20mins. Tools used were already lying around the house (hair dryer, fishing line, wax & grease remover) then I washed/polished/waxed.

Heh cheers, it was the best thing I could come up with without having to fork out for the custom layout.

Oh.. Ok (so you got a choice without paying extra?)

Nah in NSW it costs $200 for a regular layout (AAA-A11, AA-11-AA etc). To have a different layout or 6 letters for example it costs $600 - too much for me.

looks great, but I'm bias as I've DE badged also. :goodjob:

I agree it looks better when de badged also easier to polish :goodjob:

Ditto. I removed mine with my bare fingers and it took about 10minutes. Virtually 0 tape residue too. It helps when the car is new and the tape hasn't had a chance to dry out in the heat.

Much cleaner and classier looking

I've seen cars that have been DE badged several years from new and the paint where the badge was is unfaded, looks awful. :scared:
