Title: Dashmat question
Post by: FatBoy on February 28, 2011, 09:47:57
Hi all,

After searching the forum about dashmats (I've already decided to get one) I can't find the information that I would like.  Does anybody know if the temperature sensor is affected by any of the mats available?  I've seen one on eBay, but can't see the temperature sensor in the photos and wasn't sure if there is a hole or gap for the sensor.

Thanks in advance,

FatBoy (Slim)

Hi Slim..

The wife's CW has a genuine Hyundai dashmat with a big cutout for the passenger airbag and that has the hole for the sensor...

I had the other common one sold in Australia in my CRDi Hatch (Made by Sunland) which covers pretty much the whole top of the dash and that definitely had the sensor hole as well...

I very much doubt any of them wouldn't have a hole  :goodjob:

G'day Dazzler,

I thought that they all would, just didn't want to buy one to find out that there wasn't a hole.

As they say in my line o' work, "Victor Mike Tango".

If I bought one without a hole I would soon make one with a 20c piece a feltpen and a stanley knife  :D

You got the wrong end of the Stanley Knife UM (Gee you cut me up..)

I was explaining that in the unlikey event that I did get a dashmat without a hole for the sensor I would have made a nice neat hole myself with a piece of ply or something under the dashmat... :goodjob:
