Made a slideshow of some of the pix we took at this excellent museum in South Australia (thanks Rusty & MelWA for suggesting it) :goodjob:
Quite a bit of interesting info in the placards but you might have to pause the video to read some of them :D

Most entertaining :D
Good to see a DMC in such fine condition.
Now, can someone please explain why you Oz guys would think the 1952 "Edith" looks like a "pregnant roller skate" (03:33)
-
Yeah I was impressed to see the DeLorean too :goodjob:
Don't know if you picked it up (You don't miss much ) but most of the cars could have done with some AutoGlym or Meguirs ... but was only A$9 each to get in so can't really complain... :winker:

a few bucks worth of history in that museum. most of them looked original and UN restored. :goodjob:

There were a lot of other cars and bikes I didn't take photos of as well ... most have been restored but to original rather than modified condition... I think Trish was as impressed as I was.. She could relate to more of the early cars than I could :scared:

the good old days of motoring. :goodjob:

Nice slideshow, Daz.... :goodjob:
Reminded me of what I got to see last year when I was there. It was a very rushed tour at the time as I was only over in Adelaide for a weekend to attend a wedding. Been there a few times previously over the years though. First time was in 1984 I think, so the place has changed a bit since then. :)

Excellent, looks as good a museum as the one we went around last year :goodjob: :goodjob: :goodjob:

Birdwood, that's just a few ks away from us, been there a few years with our son, nice cars, love the restored ones and that car sliced in half...

Birdwood brings back some fond memories. In 1989 I drove my newly restored 1920 Model T Ford across to Adelaide for a week long T Model Rally around SA. At the end we went on the Bay to Birdwood Rally. A really great time. Drove back home via Mildura & Bendigo. If you did a trip like that, with LOTS of hills, in a car that developed max power of 20 bhp @ 1600 rpm & a 2 speed epicyclic gearbox, you would never, never whinge about the power of your petrol i30 on hills! Top speed of about 65 - 70 k on the flat & passed by bicycles on hills. A really great & memorable trip.

Well I wish I could meet you guys and have a direct chat, typing can sometimes look different. :undecided:

This one seems bigger than museum located in Vyborg town and it stores some really old cars I see.
I wouldn't mind visiting this museum when I have done with aviation one if I happen to get to Australia one day.
