Title: i30 Rally team competed at Targa Tassie
Post by: hmca on April 20, 2011, 22:25:07: Hi Guys

Earlier this month we took our i30 rally car to Targa. The car performed well over the week tho we gave a fair bit away in the killawasps and top end speed. I believe the fastest the we got to was 179km/h, most crews around us were better then 200km/h. Where we made up for the lack of speed was down hills and in the twisty stuff where the superior braking and chassis dynamics came into their own.

Keep an eye out in both Alpha Magazine and Top Gear Magazine. We had Aaron Cliff from Alpha in the car for Prologue and Andrew Chesterton from Top Gear in for half of day one.

I did mention your involvement in the Targa Tasmania thread :D

Unfortunately, I organised a surprise mainland holiday for the wife's birthday which ended up being when Targa was on or I would have done some coverage of the event with photos on here myself and made a big effort to meet you in person (Maybe next year?)

Razy's car was showroom class last year I think (much less modified) so he wasn't competing directly with as many of these more powerful cars...

The one hour long Special on TV usually takes a couple of months to come on TV..
