Well done mate, that was fantastic. Watch the doormat for the commission cheque from Hyundai ;)
(PS, doesn't everyone have electrically-folding mirrors :whistler: :P)

Excellent video.

Thanks. :D.
My background music was a bit loud but hard to adjust..(I wanted to use an instrumental track but couldn't find one that would not breach copyright) :undecided:

the birds in the background could have possibly been enough.

Because some of the voiceover was recorded live and some was dubbed in later i was trying to tie it all in with a backing track but volume control of individual tracks is quite tricky (I am learning on the fly and trying to do it quickly as that 7 minute video probably took about 5 hours to film, edit, combine, render, reduce and upload

Nice work Dazz and Trish.
A great intro for potential CW owners.
Thanks, Russ

i wasn't having a whinge when i mentioned the birds over the use of music. its amazing how long it really takes to make a short video, imagine making a 4 hour movie. :scared: you've done a brilliant job mate. :goodjob:

And your missus says even that doesn't work very well... :p

Daz, looks like you were doing your best Peter Wherrett impersonation...... :goodjob:
-
Great review with warts and all.
Re instrument panel --- I agree I have trouble seeing the needle on the MPH and wary of exceeding the speed limit especially as we have a number of speed cameras here.
The red line marker for 30 mph is very hard to see!!!!!
Just a note for you re sound that you may wish to check out.
I was wearing stereo headphones...
When you are standing next to the car, although there was sound from both ear speakers, the right was louder.
At the end, I take it that was inside, the sound was balanced.
Great vid. Oh I've already said that haven't I. :goodjob:

Thanks (I think) His passing was a bit premature
Hi Lester,
Yeah I think the Microphone in the Otek camera is a bit ordinary (hopefully the Benq I have ordered is better in that regard) Even my webcam Microphone seemed to be doing odd things, when I did the voiceovers for the bits I filmed without sound (bit of an echo and low volume?) the only way is up :winker:
Asa.. Glad you liked it (a bit of fun.. was very glary in places but trying to beat the weather as it rained later in the day)
-
May I inquire which program your using to make you epic movies? and I guess that will depend upon whether your a winders walla, or a Mac walla
Speaking of which my daughter recently spent the sort of money with which you could choke a horse buying a Mac computer and within a week she was hammering my door down to us *MY* computer because she didn't have the spread sheet program she needed on her shiny new Mac and she had to have these blood analysis' in by morning. Ah, how I was able to rib her about wasting money.

-
Hi Asa..
I am a "Winders" man (got too much Winders software to ever convert to mac - although they can run Winders too now I believe)
For most of my Videos I use Corel Video Studio Pro V4 but for slideshows I usually use Memories on TV Pro
Video Studio Pro is not very user friendly but it is easier to use than the earlier versions ... :goodjob:
Must have been very satisfying when the Daughter had to eat humble pie
-
excellent video review Dazz! as Russ said, this will be a great intro for those looking into getting a CW! :goodjob: to Trish as well for her camera skills! ;)
thanks for sharing & for the effort in putting this together! i used to do videos of weddings & it takes me weeks just to put together several miniDV tapes into a couple of DVD's  well done mate!
-
Thanks Jabber...
Sent a link to my one of my Brothers and he had a bit of a shot at me about using a tripod to keep the camera steady etc.. In hindsight I could have planned it a little better (and I might get a tripod going forward) sold my last one because I wasn't using it :-[
I thought Trish did a pretty good job of the three bits where I was talking considering she hasn't used a video camera much :goodjob: She was trying to show the width of the back seat when she cut my head off...
I was thinking of finding a local member with a hatch and doing a more professional effort with our new better camera which should be here in as few days...
-
Hi, I noticed you have seat covers on the front seats . . .
Do these interfere with the side air bags installed in the side of the seats? (I think that's where they are anyway)
-
Dazzler,
I haven't read through all the reviews, but I
have seen your excellent video. If you haven't
already done so, could you download to You Tube?
