Just had some rear parking sensors fitted.
Installer went through the offside rear light
cluster to attach wiring, and threaded through
the wiring grommet.
He did not take off rear bumper but marked
position of holes to be drilled in bumper &
drilled through.
The sound device is fitted at the rear of the upper
seatbelt mount and cannot be seen. The sound
come though the rear seat belt opening.

Good job Alan.. I find them very handy (our current main vehicle is the first car I've had with them)
-
Excellent Alan, I take it you didn't use Hy to do the work... What sort of money have you had to spend, cos, I would like them on my motor.
:brilliant:

Dolphin Audio Reverse Parking Sensors - £49.99 inc VAT
Supplied & Fitted Including Choice of Colours £139.98
Four Recess Sensors With Warning Buzzer
+ £4.99 P & P.
Customer i30 fitment:
http://www.parkingsensors.co.uk/customer_installation_hyundai_i30.asp (http://www.parkingsensors.co.uk/customer_installation_hyundai_i30.asp)
I believe the franchised Hyundai dealer wanted about £230 factory fitted.
==================================
I am not sure how the fitter got the cabling through to the top part of the bumper,
as you cannot get underneath, so he must have had something to go along & inside the top part of the bumper
& attach wiring to the sensors, may be a piece of wire or something similar.
( I hope this makes sense) Unfortunately, I wasn't there when he did this process.
If so I would have taken some photo's. I don't know he got the sound device behind the rear seat belt either.
I suppose the fitter wanted to protect his livelihood.

it looks like you got yourself a bargain Alan. :goodjob:

It looks like you got yourself a bargain Alan.
Yes, there are other firms who do this, and in my area, I would
have had to travel about 20 mile round trip to a garage to have
then fitted at the same price. (The fitter came to my home to do the job)
(I have noticed that I have included
the product and price-does this breach the forum rules?)
Looking at the rear lights, it is very near to the rear seat belt, and
where the sound device is fitted.
So this may not be such a problem.

Thanks Alan.... :goodjob:
