I have noticed a significant improvement in economy since the car has travelled more than 10,000km. When new the economy was 6.2l/100km on average and occassionally down to 6.0l/100km. At around 12-13,000km it is relatively easy to achieve sub 6.0l/100km and on occasion down to 5.6l/100km, this is mainly open road, but with it heavily loaded and climate air always on. I don't drive for economy. The figures above are from the trip computer, so actual figures are probably higher. I'm pretty sure I could get 1000km from a tank now, but I don't like to run the tank too close to empty.

I expect the economy to probably improve a little more yet as 13,000km is not a huge distance, the motor may still be a bit tight. A mate of mine with a Diesel Nissan Navarra reckons his best economy came in after 60,000km !

I've got a CW that is stubbonly stuck on 6.2. It has dropped below 6 once.
Though I do most of my travel at 120 km/h so perhaps thats why?

I get 5.1 l/100 for driving mostly at 100-120 km/h and a few kilometers in the city.

I think 6 - 6.2 is not bad for a 120kmh cruise. I try to keep the revs to 2,500 or below. I generally cruise at around 110kmh which is the legal limit, the cops are very vigilant in enforcing that limit :D

If that is an auto it is quite extrordinary. The best I have seen is 5.6l/100km at between 100 -110kmh on a dead flat road in calm conditions.
