Title: Sunny drive home testing new video camera.
Post by: bumpkin on June 10, 2011, 22:23:27
My pleasant drive home from work this afternoon, sunroof fully open.  The camera on 640x480 is very smooth but does create a bit of a fisheye effect.  I will try at 720x480 to see what that is like over the weekend, but I am actually quite pleased with how this test has come out.  The obvious advantage of running at these resolutions with the 16Gb card is almost 5h of available recording time :goodjob: :goodjob:

Anyway to the vid, enjoy a small portion of Aberdeen.

Eeeeh lad that were reet good :goodjob:

I don't have the ability to turn off date/time-stamping, but I think I prefer it to be on the recording. One to think about...

Must set mine back to that res - much smoother to watch

I hadn't realised that I had switched date/time stamp off, like you Steve, I prefer it on.  Consider that just fixed :goodjob: :goodjob:

Asa, the ambulance came from the hospital, I suspect he was heading for the chippy :whistler: :whistler:

Thanks Brian ..  :goodjob:

Being a city boy at heart sometimes I'd like to have a more interesting drive to and from work like you do.. :goodjob: As you say quite clear for the resolution  :scared:

Thought you were going the wrong way up a one way street a couple of times

How come no road or engine noise? (eerily quiet )

I suspect that the microphone was confused a little by the roof being open, however the ix20 is a really quiet car, I suspect that even with the roof closed, it will still be a quiet video.

I am out to golf tomorrow so that is windows and roof closed, I will see what that is like for you.

I spotted the title a while back, just had a chuckle to myself about it

Shame no voiceover Brian...Trish is interested to hear what your accent is like  :winker:

There is a new show on lately about Scotland featuring a chap with a much broader accent than my Scottish friend Dorian

:goodjob: Great video ! ix20 seems very quiet.
Perhaps I'll share a noisy little video filmed from another tiny car of mine.  Feel like driving a old truck.
