Wonderful pics of you and your wife, and your new baby.
Like the other posts, I just love the rego plate. Perhaps it should read "RIGHT - 1" for the i30

Our baby gets it's 1st 1000 k check up tomorrow, it actually is 1250 k's actually..cant believe it took less than 7 days to manage this much.
Even the car dealer was shocked. :)
In fact I have now stopped doing much maths on fuel economy....understanding that my spending half my brain on it would not improve it so much anyway :) so just enjoying !
-
:scared: It's usually the Diesel owners on here that do the high mileage :goodjob:
-
Wroom. I like the color and the engine ;) License plate is also great :D
Keep us posted, as the kilometers go by..
-
Wroom. I like the the engine ;)
It is a 2.0 Ltr petrol not a Diesel accim... :whistler:
-
Hi ! yes, I dont usually drive this much..it's just been coincidence that I had to go to Melbourne once, and then made a trip to the mountains which I do once in a year sth.
Hopefully, wont drive so much all the times !
and thanks for liking the colour n the plate :D
-
:goodjob: :goodjob: :goodjob: Absolutely love it!!! How I long for that diesel and the extra cog!!! Good luck to all of you!!

Haha :) I know, but 2.0 engines (both, petrol and diesel) in i30 sound "exotic" to me, due to the fact, we couldn't get any of those two engines in Slovenia :) 2.0 petrol must also feel nice in i30.. I sure wish I had a chance to try it out. I could try it in Kia Pro_ceed, but..

I must admit if they were the same price I'd choose the diesel but the Petrol 2.0 is a far better drive (at least in the manual) than I expected...It is only on the highway hills and uphill winding corners that the Diesel makes you do that stupid grin that nothing else under 50K could make you do...

Hi
Dont worry unless the 1.6 engine is not doing the job properly, you probably dont need a bigger one.
Here sometimes I feel that even a 2.0 petrol is less in the auto mode that is. The manual might be a different story. For me that auto was the automatic choice coz my wife planned to use this car the most.
I am thinking to later on getting a manual one, it could be a diesel i30 ! but a hatchback itself ! :happydance: My wife is new to Australia, so looking for jobs ! once she gets one, I will get the excuse to buy another one. To help the budget, I might just go with a used one.
Automatic Diesel would be a not so smart thing, as the auto seems to be taking so much more fuel than the manual..and ofcourse are less fun than manual shifts.
