Driving over Glenshee in The Cairngorms National Park, between Perth and Braemar. The video does not show how steep the climb actually is, however at the slowest point the ix20 was down into third gear for the ascent.
This route is the reverse of the one I suggested for Trevor (Surferdude) when he visited me last year and one which I think he enjoyed using.
Despite the steep climb, the fuel consumption still completed this trip showing 44.5mpg, I think that is pretty damned good for the gradient with two adults, a child and a boot full of luggage, etc :goodjob: :goodjob:
I hope you enjoy!!

Great stuff Brian.
Yes, we did enjoy the drive. It looks a bit different without the rain, low cloud, rivulets of water running along both edges and across the road around every blind corner. But much the same. Oh. And the snow. Did I mention the snow? But it was just lying along the side of the road on banks and cuttings in places.
We even had the plane - well some type of very fast, very low and very loud jet plane, right over our heads as we climbed up out of Braemar.
I recommend the drive to everyone.
BTW. The guy with the trailer was making good time. He kicked your ass. :whistler:

Range Rover was always going to kick ass against the ix20, however I was still on his tail some 40 miles later as we went through Banchory Trev :winker: :winker:

Many many years ago I did this route in a Mini Metro with 2 adults +2 kids + a full holiday load of kit.
It seemed to take forever with the 1000 cc engine.
