Hi,

I recently changed the rubber coupler, thats located between the electric motor and steering assembly, that was making the usual knocking sound from the steering assembly but now I have this new whirring sound when I turn quickly the steering wheel. I have recorded this sound in the youtube link below:

Has anybody experience this sound after replacing the rubber coupler?

Another milestone and Firty is as close to new condition as she has ever been. This morning I replaced the rubber steering coupler and eliminated the dreaded clunk.

I recently did two WOT tests 1900 - 4200 RPM in third gear and got some interesting values ​​from my 2011 I30 1.6 CRDI U2 85kW (114hp):
- Boost 1.65 bar,
- MAF 119.47 g/s.

Are these values ​​normal for a 114hp engine?
I read somewhere that the maximum values ​​should be up to 1.5 bar for boost and 100g/s for MAF.

I have no problems with the car, everything seems to be fine, no error codes, it runs great.

Give your dealer a try - explain the situation and see if they can provide an update, or even perform it.
