I have a 1,4 petrol, makes noise from engine, just like if the valve doesn work proberly, Hyundai told me that is normal for this engine, anyone know this problem ??

I also have an 1.4 petrol and my i30 doensn't make strange noises when cold. I start my car, it'll run at 1.500 rpm then goes down to 1.000 rpm after a few seconds. (when at temperature about 750 rpm)

Can you record the engine start up? It will make it easy for us to find out the problem

i have the 2.0 litre petrol model but i might be able to help, what type of noise is it?
is it clunky or whining?
